Northern Lights College (NLC) is made up of five campuses and these campuses are;

Northern Lights College has its primary campus located in Dawson Creek, British Columbia with a number of smaller campuses in Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, Tumbler Ridge, and Chetwynd. The university also runs three access centers in Atlin, Dease Lake, and Hudson’s Hope.

Northern Lights College International Student Admissions Requirements

It accepts international applicants from all over the world. Applicants are recommended to check admission requirements for the program they wish to apply as prerequisites and English Language requirements vary with the programs.

Application Fee: 100 CAD

Applicants are expected to submit their applications along with the following;

  • Official Transcripts
  • Applicants must fulfil the program-specific admission requirements.
  • Some programs require letters of Recommendation or Resume.
  • English Language Proficiency Scores
  • Copy of Passport
  • Bank Statements
  • Health Certificate
  • English Language Proficiency Test Scores

Northern Lights College Admissions process: How to apply

Northern Lights College offers intakes for each semester, September, January, and May. We recommend applicants submit a complete application six months prior to their intended start date. Please note that start dates vary by program. 

Step 1

Review the specific requirements for your program of study. Each program has its own prerequisites and English language requirements.

Step 2

Request an application form. Complete the form, and submit it with copies of transcripts, English language test results, and a copy of the photo page of your passport.

Once NLC has received a completed application, you will receive instructions on payment of the $100 CAD application fee.   

Step 3

If your application meets our admissions criteria and there is sufficient space in our programs, you will receive a Letter of Offer.

To confirm your spot at NLC, and to receive a Letter of Acceptance for your study permit application, you must pay a deposit of $6,000.

Applicants planning to apply for a study permit through the Student Direct Stream (SDS) may make a larger deposit, as needed. NLC will provide applicants with instructions on payment of their deposit.

Step 4

NLC will send you a Letter of Acceptance once we receive the tuition deposit payment, as well as a Welcome Guide to help you prepare for your arrival at NLC.
